oriole 03:46
The Oriole On the first day of the year Walk upon a sunny morning All ahead is looking clear Details forming Wild, the bells were ringing out Birds in congregation Gather high up in the winter wood Glow like the wings of the oriole, As it sits so high up in the tree now Don’t be afraid on this brand new day You’ve a bright little creature calling out to you, "Dah dah dee dah dah dee dah dah doo I’ll follow you, oh follow back to the sun" And we all go down to the lane to see What the little orange bird has done Ooo, ooo, watching you watching me run along Ooo, ooo, watching you watching me run along We will, we will fly with the oriole We will, we will fly with the oriole .... Glow like the wings of the oriole As it sits so high up in the tree now Don’t be afraid on this brand new day You’ve a bright little creature calling out to you, "Dah dah dee dah dah dee dah dah doo I’ll follow you, oh follow back to the sun" And we all go down to the lane to see What the little orange bird has done What the little orange bird has done We will, we will fly with the oriole We will, we will fly with the oriole Ooo, ooo, watching you watching me run along Ooo, ooo, watching you watching me run along We will, we will fly with the oriole

A Lamb in Soft Grass Do you feel alone? Do you feel alone? No need to worry coz you've a home In the grass with the other little lambs around you. So soft and green, So soft and green, The loveliest home you've ever seen Look around there’s another little lamb beside you Ahhhh, do do doo Ahhhh, do do doo There is a hill There is a hill Climb to the top of it if you will With the other little lamb beside you. Did you lose your mind? Did you lose your mind? No need to worry coz you will find It’s the same with the other little lambs around you Ahhhh, do do doo Ahhhh, do do doo Over the edge, over the edge Do we all end up in the forest? Or over the edge, over the edge To the funny farm? Over the edge, over the edge Do we all end up in the forest? Or over the edge, over the edge To the funny farm? And if you find yourself wondering While you’re wandering It won’t be long And if you find yourself wondering While you’re wandering Just sing along Do you know the song? Do you know the song? It’s a lullaby, not too long. It goes…

Reinterpretation a page tear out another page now unattached with new attitude the path that is sweet is either side that we feel with our feet and then time time rolls on into change changing everything anyway when we're there that's forever yes forever turn into timelessness the timelessness of the changing season constant reinterpretation of reason the light variations of light enter our eye as the sun will cross the sky everyday an infinite variation of ways standing in the light that comes from above there's a beauty unfolding if we just look up if we look up all there to see if we look up

September Please Come Slow (Plester, Biddulph) If you feel, you feel, you feel, you feel yr love and energy If you feel, you feel, you feel your love And you know, you know, you see the train wreck that your life could be When you know, you know, you know, you hear where different voices go Here you are Septemba, please come slow Laze around, around, around, around, the sun is going down The summer glow still shines, September Cos it’s already in your mind So close your eyes and breathe it all in The winter’s coming and you are falling in dark and alone but still alive

The Map Doesn’t Know [Danielle Plester, Miles Biddulph, Mary Anne Stewart, Hannah Owen] If I had a map, if I had a map could you show me where the river ain’t so lonely and the falls wash over my soul like the clouds across the sky yeah If I had a map, if I had a map could you show me the best place to sit and watch the sunset all on my own with my feet upon the ground yeah Oh the places we’ll go that the map doesn’t know If I had a map, if I had a map could you show me where to sit and read the poetry of Mary, Edward, and Walt where the sky will shine so blue yeah blue yeah Oh the places we’ll go that the map doesn’t know Oh the places we’ll go that the map doesn’t know oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh map doesn’t know

droplet 03:27
Droplet (Plester, Biddulph) so how do you know that yr heart is in tow and yr feeling is all what it seems? well you flow like water until yr farther than what you thought it could be Slowly, one single droplet will flow on down Gathering speed as I run over rocks In the soothing sound. Flying over the edge now I’m all alone Unexpected high, suddenly thrust in the sky At the waterfall. Feel like I’m rain again Feel like I’m rain again Eventually will I come back to these falls? Could be centuries before I can make it at all. Onward, we’re throwing down on the rocks below Thousands of droplets coming together Make the water flow. Feel like I’m rain again Feel like I’m rain again (to the ocean to the clouds back to rain I will cycle round) Maybe someday I’ll join a flash flood Or travel north and float down all snowy and cold so how do you know that yr heart is in tow and yr feeling is all what it seems? well you flow like water until yr farther than what you thought it could be so how do you know that yr life will unfold and yr hope will untangle yr dreams? well you flow like water until yr farther than what you thought it could be feel like i'm flowing to feel

lupine meadows by d&m (tuning: D A D G A# D) sunlit ground, surround sound thick with the things that fly around and around grass is blue, river runs green, and there's a tall, steep mile to climb in between afternoon offers the rain, and then we start all over again

Astronomy Now Folks might gaze at a miniature screen In games where people kill and die But my love he cranes his neck in the dark And he gazes up into the sky. People today might worry or say Things are too late or too soon But my love is pleased when the sun is just right And it lights up the face of the moon Astronomy now The dark side, the far side that we never see We see the craters and scars When folks complain that life is a curse He smiles at the moon and the stars Do do do do do'n do Your whole life, you look up at the sky And wonder ‘bout the things spinning round But then you take a class in astronomy and You see the universe from the ground Astronomy now Venus, Cassiopeia, Sagittarius, the phase of the moon Seasons, Andromeda, Mars could be anywhere Different angles of sun

Summer Leads the Way by d&m periwinkle sky, on the the river's golden banks we lie sandstone like a peach, the full moon is sailing out of reach ninety meters tall, the icy water waits to fall then time is in slow motion, swirling in the ocean made of leaves summer leads the way ahead the mountaintop becomes our bed and morning time the pages turn the days are long, the dream still burns welcome burst of flower, sunlight squeezing out upon the tower listen to the crow- a tiny feeling cradling below never-ending rain so evergreen and fuchsia spill again apricot and crimson, terracotta sparkles in the air summer leads the way ahead the mountaintop becomes our bed and morning time the pages turn the days are long, the dream still burns now the sun has gone away and cold descends upon our days cozy in the snow, we stay inside and let the winter flow

Guinevere and the Blue Knight Errant (Plester, Biddulph) (a tragic, pre-king Arthurian love story) Who is this errant knight? Wandering long in the woods tonight Searching the grail Have you tried this before, have you failed? Blue hooded errant knight Gallant, he rode with the maiden bright In their hearts, they did move But their silence has sent him to prove. Sir, please tell me, what is your quest? What greater foes till you pass your test? Three blows to the head, dear And one to the heart All in the name of my Guinevere My illusion… Guinevere, the grail is in your heart Bearing nobility Ideals holding back what was meant to be Coz the blue errant knight Rode away to the quest from the light. I watched his lofty eyes On the horizon, into the skies Too noble too long, Turning my back to be strong. Guinevere, the grail is in your heart. Sir, please tell me what was your quest? What better grail could pass your test? Three blows to the head, dear, Now one to the heart All in the name of my/yr Guinevere, My/Yr illusion… mmm.... The grail was in your heart Guinevere, the grail was in your heart.

Nearly Missed a Little Thing (Plester, Biddulph) The sun is warm on my left arm As it closes down the day And there’s a little breeze That’s ruffling the mountain weeds I nearly missed noticing. A cooler day,the long grass sways As it gives a wave to the clouds And there’s a little bee That landed on the clover next to me I nearly missed noticing I nearly missed a-noticing The time was always on my side And I nearly missed The light inside our eyes Oo there’s good things all around Mm calling us to be here now Coz all is one and one is all around The river flows to where it goes As I laze around on the banks And there’s a little bird Sang a song that no one ever heard I nearly missed noticing I nearly missed noticing.

Centuries of Stone (Plester, Biddulph) On a grassy hillside Centuries of stone Danger waits forever, Unknown Stone by stone We build ourselves a wall So sit down beside me And the sound Will go all around How do you build a home Running away alone? Something outside yourself Sounding your heart out loud Why do we run around? Who are we spinning round Under the stormy skies? Why are we falling down? Who could we be right now? Why are we fading out? Ahhhhhh… Stone by stone Around, around Feel the walls go underground Then yr falling Into starry skies Stone by stone We build ourselves a wall There’s something beside you Outside yr heart and mind

Halfway to the Darkest Day (Plester, Biddulph) Halfway to the darkest day To the darkest day we’re halfway And it won’t be long Before the sun is gone No it won’t be long No it won’t be long Stardust, we are falling stardust Gathering, golden as we are Halfway to the darkest day To the darkest day We’re halfway Waiting in the dark, we feel the light will come Dying of the stars, the cycles of the sun We know that we are going back, returning from whence we came Stardust, we are falling stardust Gathering, golden as we are The cycles of the stars The dying and the birth We’re waiting for the sun to come back to earth Halfway to the darkest day We’re halfway, and we’re on our way
