oriole 03:46
The Oriole Oracle On the first day of the year Walk upon a sunny morning All ahead is looking clear Details forming Wild, the bells were ringing out Birds in congregation Gather high up in the winter wood Glow like the wings of the oriole, As it sits so high up in the tree now Don’t be afraid on this brand new day You’ve a bright little creature calling out to you, "Dah dah dee dah dah dee dah dah doo I’ll follow you, oh follow back to the sun" And we all go down to the lane to see What the little orange bird has done Ooo, ooo, watching you watching me run along Ooo, ooo, watching you watching me run along We will, we will fly with the oriole We will, we will fly with the oriole .... Glow like the wings of the oriole As it sits so high up in the tree now Don’t be afraid on this brand new day You’ve a bright little creature calling out to you, "Dah dah dee dah dah dee dah dah doo I’ll follow you, oh follow back to the sun" And we all go down to the lane to see What the little orange bird has done What the little orange bird has done We will, we will fly with the oriole We will, we will fly with the oriole Ooo, ooo, watching you watching me run along Ooo, ooo, watching you watching me run along We will, we will fly with the oriole

A Lamb in Soft Grass Do you feel alone? Do you feel alone? No need to worry coz you've a home In the grass with the other little lambs around you. So soft and green, So soft and green, The loveliest home you've ever seen Look around there’s another little lamb beside you Ahhhh, do do doo Ahhhh, do do doo There is a hill There is a hill Climb to the top of it if you will With the other little lamb beside you. Did you lose your mind? Did you lose your mind? No need to worry coz you will find It’s the same with the other little lambs around you Ahhhh, do do doo Ahhhh, do do doo Over the edge, over the edge Do we all end up in the forest? Or over the edge, over the edge To the funny farm? Over the edge, over the edge Do we all end up in the forest? Or over the edge, over the edge To the funny farm? And if you find yourself wondering While you’re wandering It won’t be long And if you find yourself wondering While you’re wandering Just sing along Do you know the song? Do you know the song? It’s a lullaby, not too long. It goes…

Astronomy Now Folks might gaze at a miniature screen In games where people kill and die But my love he cranes his neck in the dark And he gazes up into the sky. People today might worry or say Things are too late or too soon But my love is pleased when the sun is just right And it lights up the face of the moon Astronomy now The dark side, the far side that we never see We see the craters and scars When folks complain that life is a curse He smiles at the moon and the stars Do do do do do'n do Your whole life, you look up at the sky And wonder ‘bout the things spinning round But then you take a class in astronomy and You see the universe from the ground Astronomy now Venus, Cassiopeia, Sagittarius, the phase of the moon Seasons, Andromeda, Mars could be anywhere Different angles of sun

Seeing in the Dark cold without the fire brightness the liar your pathway through (in the night) only black on blue reach out, if you can, through the dark search every valley go deep and connect to your ground hidden in mountains collect and connect every sound circle around a night without the moon new sight come soon reach out, if you can, through the dark search every valley go deep and connect to your ground hidden in mountains collect and connect every sound circle around darkness has wings to let me in

Daytime Stars They came from a valley far away Across a ridge on a windy day And settled down where the aspen glow The clouds, they were moving very fast The breaks of blue were here at last So far from home, the world they knew La da dee …. And it shows amid the forest changing color in the wind It’s like the lake is a little screen, down below Daytime stars sparkle in between, And they shine…..the light is alive. And they were caught between the clouds And the wind sang out so loud So it became the soundtrack for the day And as they watched, the world moved on Leaves were shining then the light was gone The shadows came, but all was calm La da dee …. And it shows amid the forest changing color in the wind It’s like the lake is a little screen, down below Daytime stars sparkle in between, And they shine…..the light is alive. And they shine…..the light is alive. Ooo and this mountain world makes sense to the mind Not like the other world you’ll find They returned to a valley far away Across a ridge on a windy day

Listen to the Moon in the Rain Seasons different from each other Flowing into one another again Listen to the moon in the rain Some will fear and some will follow It’s ok it’s alright, We are one, we are the sun Feeling fear, a frantic calling All I want’s that sense of belonging to stay Listen to the moon in the rain See the views from different angles First tracks through a riverbed in the snow Wandering the canyon below It’s ok it’s alright We are one, we are the sun Don’t you know it’s alright We are one, we are the sun All the while we’re spinning in the sky, A memory in the sky It’s ok it’s alright We are one, we are the sun Don’t you know it’s alright We are one, we are the sun

faraway 04:27
Faraway Just one voice in the womb You’ll find the other songbirds flying soon The lines and marks you make Will somehow magically translate the life flow But though you’re far away from me The speed of light will take me home to you How long will the songbirds sing Sunlight on their wings Until we all meet in the faraway field in the sky? How long will the honey bee Make its home by me Until we all meet in the faraway hive in the sky? Three voices in the room You’ll find their empty spaces come too soon The way we touch the strings And voice to voice we’re holding onto something But though you’re far away from me The speed of light will take me home to you How long will the songbirds sing Sunlight on their wings Until we all meet in the faraway field in the sky? How long will the honey bee Make its home by me Until we all meet in the faraway hive in the sky? Where will the songbirds sing? Faraway, faraway...

The Dusty Path I was walking up the dusty path up the hillside I was walking up the dusty path to the blue sky And when I reached the top, There was only you and I. I was walking up the dusty path in the sunshine I was walking up the dusty path to the blue sky And when I reached the top, There was only you and I. Only you and I Only, only you and I Only you and I under the western sky Oooo ooo I was walking up the dusty path up the hillside I was walking up the dusty path to the blue sky And when I reached the top, There was only you and I Only you and I Only, only you and I Only you and I under the western sky Only you and I Only, only you and I Only you and I under the western sky Ooooo we could make a tune Ooooo in the afternoon Oooooo like the clouds we sail Oooooo on the dusty trail

So Far As I Can Tell You ask me all the reasons why So far as I can tell It’s coz the sun is shining in the sky You wanna know the reasons how So far as I can tell The past is just the past and now is now You ask me all the reasons why So far as I can tell It’s coz the birds have learned that they can fly How do we find the things we know? So far as I can tell It’s coz the stars are up there all aglow Steppin’ through the morning dawn We’re passing through the shade And walking to the brightness of the sun

Old-Fashioned Christmas Quiet glow All the lights are low Cozy feeling Watching the snow Rum pum pum Um pum pum Spins around still In your head The doorbell is ringing kids' eyes are gleaming there’s carolers out in the night Seeing their breath in the cold frosty air and it’s ringing true welcome to an old-fashioned Christmas Dancing light of the fire bright crackling and warm to the soul Writing to folks I knew so long ago The doorbell is ringing kids' eyes are gleaming There’s carolers out in the night Seeing their breath in the cold frosty air and it’s ringing true welcome to an old-fashioned Christmas
